Seven Layer Dip

Happy Fourth of July! My family and I faked the Fourth yesterday, with the barbecue and sparklers and everything.

Happy birthday, America. I liked your birthday party. It let me have Seven Layer Dip. 🙂 Whoo! (Yeah, I know I’m lame, leave me alone.) There are few things in life that can make people’s mouths water, will be finished in five minutes (literally, everyone will attack the dish) and takes less than 30 minutes to make. Seven layer dip is one of these beautiful things.

This is a huge hit at…well…everything! And it’s so easy! If you’ve never had seven layer dip, you are seriously missing out in life. Be warned, this stuff is delicious but also filling. Try not to eat all of it because you won’t be able to eat anything else. Continue reading “Seven Layer Dip”

It’s holiday season, so what better time to make cookies, right? For some reason, I was really scared about making these because I thought it would be really difficult. It was surprisingly easy, and they turned out to be great! This was especially shocking because I experimented with this recipe at the last second and added some extra ingredients to turn them from regular biscotti to double chocolate walnut!

This treat is delicious alone, or it can be dunked. And it has chocolate, have I mentioned that?

I’ve included both recipes here, one for the original recipe (from an Italian lady so I guess it’s authentic ;)) and the extra ingredients to make the chocolate variation of the biscotti.

Also, I feel obligated to let you know (after watching some Italian lady on YouTube tell me this about 500 times) that biscotti in Italian actually just means cookie. I hope that lady didn’t give me some wrong information because I’m feeling very multilingual and intelligent right now.
